‘Lavender garden’ is one of the standout tracks from ENIS’ debut EP, E01 demo collection. On the EP, the alt-R&B sensation says: “Metaphorically, I see it as a bridge built to bring me to my next destination: a freer me. It’s about when you’re promised the sky and left with rain, but use the rain to water your garden.” The track itself is an ethereal, dreamy piece of bedroom pop that brings ambient electronics into the mix, with strings underpinning its minimalistic balladry. It is accompanied by a visualiser directed by ENIS and Leonardo Casalini, designed to represent redemption while dealing with ideas of betrayal and negligence.
